My Most Confident Work Outfit

NAILS asked readers: What do you wear to the salon to set the tone for a great day? You told us that comfort and style were both important factors.

The Jazzy Nailz Team

We prefer the uniform look of our salon T-shirts with jeans and sneakers. We wear our T-shirts because it shows unity and professionalism. When a client walks into the salon, she knows exactly who the techs are. Rhonda Collier, Chandra Shack, Chaneisha Warren, and I are the “Dream Team” of Jazzy Nailz!

We are a very busy salon here in Jacksonville so we like to be comfortable while working. Jeans and sneakers or sandals — because we do live in Florida — seem to be the most comfortable attire for us.

Trish Samoila of Stage Six Salon

I like to wear an embellished jersey tunic with cotton leggings — it’s a super comfortable outfit so I can move around with ease from the wax/facial room to the manicure table to pedicures!

I wear wedge shoes with open toes to show off my designs, and my hair, nails and make-up are always done when I go to work. When you look good, you feel good. It gives me more confidence in myself and my clients trust that I will take good care of them.

Mare Horak of Nails by Mare

My favorite busy salon outfit is my “I <3 Nails” bling T-shirt and my black dress pants, with my black Mary Jane style shoes. It’s comfy and cute!

I have to have my essential nail tech coffee mug on hand.
