It had to happen eventually. The past several years have seen a rise in mobile spa services as well as a growth in salons catering to teens and even younger children. Now there’s Alexandria, Va.-based Sprinkles, described by its founder Cinnamon Bowser as a “traveling spa for girls.” A division of her three-year-old Nail Taxi business, Sprinkles is a full-service mobile spa offering manicures, pedicures, facials, temporary tattoos, goodie bags, make-up application, and massage. The girls, ages 3-12, wear pink, fluffy robes while they enjoy their services.

“Nail Taxi has always had a demand for parties for girls so creating Sprinkles was a natural evolution,” says Bowser. “My six-year-old daughter serves as my in-house marketing guru.” Like Nail Taxi, Sprinkle, will soon be found in additional cities, beginning with Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, and Richmond, Va., in 2008.
