You’ve come to know my face on this page over the past five years — now there are some other people whom I would like you to meet. You probably know their names, and if you get to our tradeshows, you may know some of their faces.

Putting together a magazine like NAILS requires the skills of a team of talented and committed professionals, more than we’re able to show here.

But it is the editors and salespeople who spend 100% of their professional lives dedicated to NAILS, and it is their faces I’ve made room for this month. These are the people I spend every working day (and a few working nights) with:

Suzette Hill, managing editor, has been with NAILS the longest (six years). In addition to writing several articles each month, Suzette oversees the entire production of the magazine.

Erika Kotite is the newest editor o

n the team, but she brought eight years of publishing experience with her when she joined us in March of this year.

Julie Sparlin just celebrated her one-year anniversary with the magazine, topping off a busy year. Julie traveled to several big tradeshows on behalf of the staff: she also organized NAILS’ first Salon of the Year awards last year.

Our salespeople know the nail industry as well as anyone: It’s their job to work with product manufacturers to help them understand NAILS readers. It’s also their job to sell the advertisements that fill the magazine and enable us to bring you such a well-balanced issue every month.

Our sales team consists of Ralph August, who has been with us just a few months

but has been in the beauty business over six years, and Helen Vanegas, who has been with the magazine for six years.

On behalf of NAILS readers, to everyone involved in NAILS’ production, I thank you for your efforts.
