Prees-on nails have taken something of a bad rap amongst the style setters in this country. Not so in Japan, where the illumi-Nail made by Denkosha Co., is the height of hip. The Wall Street Journal reports that this high tech gad get that looks like a pink press-on nail flashes to alert its wearer that she has a cell phone call. Priced at 1,980 yen ($18), the nail houses a tiny chip and LED light. If the users’ hand is near the mobile phone’s antenna, the light flashes whenever the phone goes into use, activated by the radio waves carrying the call.
