At first glance, $150+ for an hour-long pedicure sounds kind of steep — but not when it includes up to 500 shimmering Swarovski crystals, like the Bling It On Pedicure offered at Spa Gregorie’s Del Mar, Calif., location.  “It’s definitely a splurge-worthy service that is perfect for that little added sparkle to make you feel sassy,” says nail tech Teresa Reffitt. “Our clients love it for a special occasion, like a formal event, wedding, honeymoon, or class reunion. It’s also more popular in the spring and summer when clients are unveiling their open-toed shoes and headed to the beach.”

This service itself takes a lot of patience and precision, says Reffitt. “It is a skilled service that a technician needs to master in order to perform accurately.” The service comes with a complimentary consultation that includes after-care instructions. Reffitt advises using a Clarisonic Brush on the toes to keep them shiny and sparkly. “You don’t want to put a top coat on it,” she says. “Cleaning with alcohol just like you would with your jewelry helps as well. The stones are relatively flat so clients can wear closed-toed shoes and exercise, but it is recommended to wait at least one day just as you would with any normal pedicure service.”
