Be sure to set your DVR to record WEtv’s reality show L.A. Hair. For its second season, the show — which focuses on celebrity hairstylist Kim Kimble’s West Hollywood, Calif., based salon — adds a nail tech into the mix. Celebrity manicurist Naja Rickette (www.najanailguru.com) joins the show, telling NAILS she enjoyed the experience and was even able to ignore the cameras after the first few days. “I am usually the one on the glam squad preparing people for their on-camera appearances. This time the tables were turned and I was the one on camera,” Rickette says. The second season starts June 6, and Rickette will be seeing the finished episodes for the first time then. “I do not have any control over the editing process and have no clue how I will actually be portrayed, but I tried my best to give the public a no nonsense approach to the nail game,” she says. “I wanted to show the general public I am more than the average ‘nail lady’ and in fact am not the ‘nail lady’ at all. I am a business woman and an artist. I wanted to portray nails as a profession and a career path.”
