“We wanted our spa cool and chic, and we sure got it,” say Stacy Winick, nail tech and co-owner of
Belle Visage Day Spa in Milton, Mass., just outside of Boston. She and business partner Sofi a Golberg
hired Taniya Nayak of “Restaurant Impossible” to redesign their small but profi table business. It all
started when they decided they could no longer piecemeal their approach to freshening up the spa.

“Our project began at the beginning of January,” says Winick. “After a phone call, Taniya arrived with
her assistant Jackie and we had our initial meeting to discuss our vision for Belle Visage. She asked us
our likes and dislikes, and from then on the design was all in her hands. She was very easy to work with
because not only is she one of the nicest people, but she’s also extremely talented.”

They met a few times over the next couple of months. “She showed us a 3-D image of the design
like they do on TV. The images were amazing,” she says. “The construction took almost three weeks.
We had them work on the spa rooms in the back while we were open and then we closed for about
two weeks to fi nish the construction.”

The spa reopened its doors in early May. “We are so thrilled and excited with our new look. Belle
Visage is now a trendy upscale spa where you can come relax, or hang out with friends. We love how it
is wide open while still feeling separated,” she says. “No one can believe it’s the same place.”

Her favorite part of the new design is the high-tufted lounges. “They give our clients enough
comfortable space to spread out and relax while watching feel-good movies or listening to soft jazz
music,” she says. “This project could have never happened without the designer extraordinaire Taniya
Nayak. I can’t give you a fi nal price as of yet but I can tell you mid-project I was three times over my
budget. Now that I see the fi nal product, it was all worth it!”
