ISSE Part 3

by NAILS Magazine | February 14, 2008 | Bookmark +

This was my first ISSE show and it was bigger than I expected. I got a chance to meet new people and visit with some that I’ve already met. It’s interesting to see what each company is offering and learn more about their products. Here are some quick snapshots from the show.

Jessica Cosmetics’ Valerie Celia showed me Jessica’s complete Zen Spa line as well as the Jessana Anti-Aging hand care products.

President of VB Cosmetics, Dr. Vivian Valenty earned her chemistry doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania, and creates all of the formulas for products at VB Cosmetics. Here she is holding her newest, Be Silky Callus Sprays with Tea Tree Oil and Lemongrass.

The nail competition at this year’s ISSE saw some intricate and colorful designs.

Nana Kanomata’s design, shown here, won her first place in the hand-painted nail art novice division.

Sara Rayna Holden of INM was all smiles as she did a demo on Lisa Harcrow.

Cuccio Naturalé’s tower of Signature Service kits was quite an impressive sight on the show floor.

Bruce Atwood of Atwood Industries showcased his range of electric files and bits.

CND educators Lisa Wong (left) and Julie Goveia put on some informative demonstrations at their booth. Participants were even given materials so they could practice along with the educators’ instructions.

Lamoon’s Don Tran was happy to work the show with his daughter Rosa.

Khanh Tran, a representative from the UFCW Local 5 union, stopped to catch up with Odyssey owner and top competitor Trang Nguyen.
