Manicure Anyone?

Saturday, May 29, 2010
Today started with a test… AND I PASSED!!! Well, I did more than pass — I got a 100%!
So after the test, my instructor told us it was time for a practical on manicures. It was time to put everything we just studied and tested on to work.
We had to start with French manicures on one another. I was very nervous at first but was able to do a GREAT French mani (to be a newbie at it)!
Then my instructor went on the clinic floor to get “live” clients — cosmetology students at Tricoci. These students were near graduation and had already gone through their nail tech clinic. So they knew how the manicure was to be done. Needless to say, my “client” gave me rave reviews and told me I had informed her how to care for her hands. She also said that she would buy all the products I recommended for her (we have to sell product as well). I was SUPER PSYCHED!
Next week is pedicures — here come the butterflies. I hope I do as well as I did with the manicures.
