Blueprint of a First Year

New Hire...Finally

Tickled Pink Salon continues to grow. We have found there is a real need to have techs available for walk-ins at all times. It's so difficult to try and manage all the salon hours in addition to outside face-to-face publicity for the salon. So in order to provide walk-in service it was necessary for us to hire another tech. This was not an easy task as it seems very difficult to find techs in this area. After over two months of searching for an additional tech we finally found one. So we are pleased to introduce Tammy Medlin (pictured) to our team.

Tammy graduated from Troutman's College of Manicuring in November 2010. She originally started out as a booth renter but found out just how difficult it is to make ends meet as a new tech in a booth rental situation. She also found out that there is a bit of a learning curve in the real world compared to what is actually taught in the schools. While Tammy's skills are very good we will be polishing them and adding to them. Her intent is to get certified in reflexology by 2012, which will be a wonderful add-on service to our existing menu. Tammy is very eager to learn other techniques outside of the basics taught in school. In addition, she is willing to jump into the networking and promotional events that we do to bring in new clients to the salon. So in simple terms, Tammy is a great team player already.
