Blueprint of a First Year

IBS Las Vegas

In June, I attended IBS Las Vegas. In the past, I've always worked behind a booth, so this was a new experience for me. Being in Vegas without any schedule to follow, or responsibilities, was an absolute blast! At the same time I also felt a little disconnected from my industry. It was great being able stroll down each aisle and take as much time as I wanted to check out every booth and watch all the demos, but I found myself continually wanting to educate others about the products I use and why.

There is just something satisfying about reaching out to someone and teaching them something that will make them more successful, whether it is telling them about a great new product or simply showing them a different way to look at their work to make designing easier. So I have come to the conclusion that attending was nice, but I will always be an educator at heart.

I found myself continually going back to the Nubar booth and interacting with my old team. I even caught Noubar himself trying out the newest addition to his gel line. I just had to take the pic (I did ask permission if I could post it and he said of course I could).

Nubar team member and NAILS Competition Insider blogger, Classic, entered the Fantasy Art competition and placed in the finals! I've included her pic as well.

My absolute favorite part about being an attendee was being able to watch all the competition awards! I honestly had no idea all that was involved in competition. The dedication and talent is unbelievable! We truly have some amazing artists among us!
