Beauty for Good: Bracelets Demonstrate Gratitude

by NAILS Magazine | November 7, 2011 | Bookmark +

Sumita Beauty by Ziba Beauty is celebrating 11/11/11 by giving back to charity. If you’re in the Southern California area, you can join in at one of the chain’s 16 studios. If you’re not, you may want to steal this idea for your salon.

On 11/11/11, Sumita Beauty is offering customers who receive an eyebrow threading service a free Shukar Bead Bracelet (Shukar means “gratitude” in Hindu). Sumita Beauty — a leader in ancient Eastern beauty techniques such as threading and mehndi — will donate $11 for each bracelet on the client’s behalf to the company’s chosen charity, whose mission is to assist underprivileged women and children.

For customers who can’t make it in on that day, the salons are selling the bracelets for $11 and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the customer’s charity of choice. Clients can also visit www.sumitabeauty.com to purchase the beads online.

“Sumita Beauty is thrilled to give back to organizations that truly represent what our company believes in,” says Sumita Batra, CEO of Sumita Beauty Inc. “Our valued customers will have the option to make a difference to their cause of choice.”

As an on-going thank you, every client who receives a service from the studio receives a Shukar card with an inspirational theme or saying.
