Holiday Cards: Don’t Get Caught Unprepared

by NAILS Magazine | December 5, 2011 | Bookmark +

When I first started out, I would only make out holiday cards for the clients I would see in a given week. I didn’t realize that I would sometimes feel woefully unprepared to reciprocate. I would always feel awful if a client showed up unexpectedly to drop off a card and I didn’t have hers ready. That is when I decided to make them all out at once so that I would never feel that way again.

Right now I have all of my cards written and ready to give out. I finished them over the Thanksgiving weekend. I started giving them out this week and my clients as always love to see what cards I have picked out for them this year. I have to admit I get a kick out of their reactions. I have included a variety of discounts in my holiday cards in the past but I have never thought to have it only good for the months of January and February. That is a great idea to help keep us busy during the slowest time of the year.

I have worked this week on making up the discount cards for my clients and for Rachael’s as well. I enjoyed designing them and I am now waiting for them to be printed. Though they won’t be included in the cards I have already handed out, they will be included as soon as I get them back from the printer. I am excited to see how this can help keep our books full through January and February.
