NAILS Makes It Easy for You to “Pin” Your Nail Art Pictures

Are you on Pinterest? (If you’re unsure what Pinterest is, take note, it’s a virtual pinboard that is taking the Internet by storm.) The basic premise of the social bookmarking site is that it allows you to organize and share things you find on the web. Love cooking? Create a pinboard to post all of those new recipes you’ve found online. Redecorating your kitchen? Create a pinboard for inspiration. Love nails? Well, as you’ve guessed, you can create a pinboard for that too. And you won’t be alone.

In the few months that I’ve personally been on Pinterest, I’ve seen hundreds of nail art designs, polish colors, and other nail-related “pins”. It’s an awesome way to keep track of things you see while you’re perusing the web. You just pin them to one of your boards and you can come back later to look at them again.

So how can this work for you, the nail technician? Well, for one, I think it’s a great way to get inspired and see other nail styles. You can also post your own nail art pictures, salon pictures, service pictures…you get the point. Once they’re on Pinterest, they can get picked up and “pinned” to other people’s boards.

NAILS Magazine has recently created our own Pinterest page. We’ll be pushing out content from our sites, as well as re-pinning cool things we see on Pinterest. Make sure to follow us once you’ve set up an account.

But the thing that I’m really excited about is that we’ve added a new feature to Nail Art Gallery that allows you to “pin” photos you like on Nail Art Gallery onto your Pinterest boards.

What are you waiting for? Sign up for a Pinterest account (don’t let the invitation-only status deter you…all you have to do is sign up for an invitation and you should receive it the same day) and then head over to Nail Art Gallery to start pinning your favorite nail art photos. But be careful…it’s highly addictive.
