Blueprint of a First Year

Meet Jessica

My name is Jessica Bowie, and I am beyond excited to share the journey of opening a new salon. Wow, has it been a whirlwind!

From parting ways with previous salon owners to hand-delivering the establishment application and begging for quick processing...this journey has been full of ups and downs!

I have been a licensed nail tech for just over three years and never dreamed that in that short time I would get married, have my second child, AND build a solid clientele that would give me the confidence I needed to step out and make a change.

At the beginning of this year a foreclosed building down the street was an offer that just couldn’t be beat. A stylist, Theresa, that also worked at the same salon with me, said, “If I buy that building, are you coming with me?” and the rest is history.

Studio 160 is located in the heart of central Maine...yes us toothless, flannel-shirt wearing rednecks love to get pampered too;) Ha! Theresa and I took our clients into account every step of the way in getting the salon up and running — and so far so good! We have been busy, busy, busy and not slowing down anytime soon.
