Go to ABS with Holly...Virtually!

America's Beauty Show (ABS) in Chicago is finally this weekend!! I'm so ready to see nail friends from all over and learn some new things. I know what it feels like to not make it to a show for one reason or another, so since I'm going in as "press," being the FingerNailFixer, I would like to use the opportunity to take you to the show virtually. My trusty BFF and official photographer "Tips of the Trade" is coming along to help me get more coverage and better pix that I would take, lol. We're both going to be uploading live via Instagram, which will also post to our Facebook and Twitter accounts. For those who don't use one social media outlet, you can find it on the other. If you could go to the show, other than shopping, what would you want to do? See a specific demo? Ask an educator a question? Or meet someone who's working there? If you're going to ABS this weekend, have you seen the app? It has some pretty handy features! You start out by logging in using your confirmation number from registering as the username and password.

Once you're in, the home screen lays out your options within the app. You can click on "Schedule" to see all of the available classes, and then click the star, which puts it in your agenda. Click the paper/pencil icon to add notes, maybe a reminder of questions you want to ask in class, then once the class is done, click the thumbs-up icon to rate it. By clicking on "Exhibitors," you can see if your favorite company is going to be there, or go in and favorite all the nail companies to make it easy to run down the list when you're on the show floor and are deciding what booths to visit. You can fill out a profile on networking...guess what I'm listed under? ;) I looked under "Educators" to flag favorite speakers, but I didn't see all the nail educators as of yet. They may still be getting everyone added in, which brings me to tell you to be sure to click "My Event" then "Settings" and check for updates each morning and night. Once you have clicked all over the app, things are saved for handy access under "My Event." You can even add custom things to the agenda like the Nail Talk Radio Meet and Greet on Sunday at 4 p.m. by the Famous Names booth!
