Nail Education, Fun on a Boat

On the Nail Those Profits cruise, the second day was anchored in Haiti.

Several people in the group decided to zipline, some opted to just hang and enjoy the ocean, while others enjoyed an easy access to everything on the ship. Lunch was an outdoor BBQ if you ventured off the ship.

The food was great! On day three, the ship anchored in Jamaica where some of the group went tubing down a river and swimming at the “Blue Hole.” Others opted for an easier pace on the beach or the deserted ship.

Day four was spent at sea which meant we went back to work with morning classes!

First up was Karen Hodges (U.S.) and Brandy Coull (Canada). Each walked us through their experience with building  a salon. The work involved in finding a space, fixing it up, finding clientele, and expanding. It was very interesting to see the similarities and differences from one country to the other and one style to the other. Once they finished up, the goody bags were handed out and attendees filled them buffet style, stopping at each gift to take one. Empower Nail Art and I provided the bags while companies donated gifts to put in them.

A big thank you to Scratch, Lecente, Akzéntz, LCN, and Nail Talk Radio! With bags done, it was time to switch gears and have class with the FingerNailFixer®. I did a presentation on #NailEyes and how to use them. Breaking down inspiration and turning it into actual art, design, color, or texture. The group decided to have lunch together on this day, then it was free time until dinner!
