Weeks Five and Six: 150+ Hours Down!

The last two weeks have been busy. They have been filled with many more manicures and pedicures — I honestly feel like a pro! I’m now trying to perfect some unique massage techniques. I saw my first diabetic client last week. She wanted a pedicure and I had to be extra careful: no nipping or clipping, and no water left between the toes. When I am working on my own, I am definitely going to make sure that each client thoroughly fills out a client profile and we review it together.

I have also been on a bit of a French manicure craze over the last week, embellishing with striping tape, words, and rhinestones. I feel that when I have perfected the pink and whites in every form (natural nails, acrylics with/without tips, and sculptured), then I know that I can do anything.

I met three new salon owners who are interested in having me work as a nail technician. How exciting — the networking never ends!

Until next week,

— Brittany
