Tech Tuesday: New OPI App Invites You to Speak in Color

by Beth Livesay | March 31, 2015 | Bookmark +

OPI’s new app, OPI ColorChat, allows users to communicate in the universal language that is color and polish. Each polish blob is linked to a famous OPI lacquer and represents a letter of the alphabet. When you talk or text into the app, your message automatically gets translated into dots of color. Find contacts or invite friends to chat via a hidden, colorful message. Even punctuation marks and emojis can be translated. You can share your message if you choose, via social media. “I’ve always believed color to be a great tool for self-expression,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI co-founder and brand ambassador. “Now, color can be used for more than just a figurative statement, but a literal one as well,” she says. You can download OPI ColorChat for free, starting tomorrow. Let’s hope this isn’t a beautiful April Fool’s joke.
