Opt for a different look on the half-moon by flipping it on its side. Follow these steps by nailista Michelle Saunders an easy-to-do scalloped lace look.

1. Apply one layer of First Base base coat, followed by two even coats of Chinchilly.

2. Dip a dotting tool in Go Overboard and dot a curved line on each side of the nail.

3. With a striping brush dipped in Big Spender, fill in half-moons on each side of the nail.

4. With Blanc and your dotting tools, draw these dots over the half-moons. Seal the deal with Good to Go top coat.

Pro tips from Saunders: Clean the dotting tool before dipping in each new color and let each layer dry before moving on to the next one.
