Artists Connect at CND World Summit

by Holly Schippers | April 28, 2015 | Bookmark +

With some new innovation being launched, CND once again brought out Education Ambassadors from North America to California for additional and updated training.

To start things off on opening night, there was an interesting motivational speaker named Erik Wahl. He is apparently a graffiti artist and speaker based in San Diego. This was my first exposure to him and I found his painting intriguing and his message even more so.

It was really surprising to hear him speak about what basically was the concept of #naileyes being delivered by someone that is unaware of nails.

It truly is an artistic ideal that confirms what I try to get across in class: It is not about whether or not you can draw that makes you an artist, it is your ability to manipulate your chosen medium.

Stop by his website and see some of the speed painting he does, it will help open your mind further to the idea that you ARE an artist!!
