From Lavette: Why YOU Should Apply for NAILSNTNA

If you are waiting for something to give you that extra push to enter NAILS NEXT TOP NAIL ARTIST competition, then here it is.

I am a strong believer in things happening for a reason. I debated for months about entering the competition when a good Insta-buddy of mine, Tara Fisher a.k.a (NailGurl), urged me to give it a try. So I did. I waited until the last minute to submit my application and then NAILS extended their deadline. It was definitely God telling me I was meant to enter. I wasn’t going to mess up a second chance, so I applied. Everything appeared to go through successfully.

Three days after applying I saw that Hannah Lee (the brains behind the competition) had e-mailed to inform me that all of my information wasn’t received, and if I was still interested, to send the info again. I saw the e-mail too late and informed her of this. She pretty much told me it was too late and hopefully I would apply next year. I thanked her and apologized for any inconvenience. Then something came over me I couldn’t let it go that easy. The fighter in me asked what information she didn’t receive. She told me to send my YouTube post and photos so she could at least take a look at them. So I did.

Check me out in the April Issue of Nails Magazine!! And I just love this next top nail artist trophy! It's soooo beautiful. Oh yea and those are my nails on the cover!!! God is Awesome!!!! LOVE YOU @nailsmagazine #nailsmagazine #nailsmag #NTNAWINNER #ntnalavette #ntna2015 @cndworld #cndworld #CND

I did not hear from her at all after that, so I assumed it was just too late. Next thing I knew, I got an Instagram notification on my cell phone containing  a bunch of happy emojis sent by NailGurl. Because I'm such a huge NailGurl fan, I checked it out immediately. Guess what it was? A post announcing the TOP 24 with my name on the list.

I urge you to not give up, and fight for what you want. Good luck to everyone applying for NAILS NEXT TOP NAIL ARTIST!
