TBT: A Look Back at My Salon Visits Over the Years

As you all know, part of my job as the editor of NAILS is visiting salons whenever I'm out "on the road." Over the past 16 years, I've traveled far and wide and had the privilege of peeking inside many beautiful salons. I've enjoyed each and every service (well, I'm sure there are a few I didn't enjoy, but those have slipped my mind) and I'm honored to have met with so many great nail techs and salon owners.

From New York to Hawaii and from Switzerland to Japan (and of course plenty in California), here's a look at some of my adventures in nail-land. (Please note, these aren't in chronological order because after so many years and so many pedicures, who could possibly keep track?)

At Oriental Nail Co. in Tokyo, Japan.

One of my first salon visits with Darlene Feric in Illinois.

Getting an outdoor pedicure in Hawaii (in my bikini!). Did we really run this photo in the magazine?

At Zoe Nails in Charlotte, N.C. with salon owner Wanda Belk.

Getting pampered in San Francisco.

Checking out how pedicures are done in Grenchen, Switzerland!

Another outdoor pedicure in a beautiful location...this time at Maya Wellness Center in Tulum, Mexico.
