I first visited Glo Nail Bar in Costa Mesa, Calif., last July. I was so impressed with the chic styling of this Orange County salon and the vast amount of signatures services they offered.
Less than a year later I was invited to return for Glo’s re-grand opening, as they celebrated their salon expansion. The nail bar has now doubled in size, offering more space for pedicures and a giant polish wall. Owner Tracy Tran leapt at the opportunity to take over the space next door when given the chance. The wall between the two businesses came down, resulting in a more open area for nail services. With the expansion of square footage comes employee expansion as well. Tran is looking to hire even more employees as the salon is now booked up more often. “When I think ‘nail bar’ I think mobility,” says Tran, who has infused the salon with portable elements such as steamers and pedicure bowls that can be moved to specific stations depending on a client’s service.
The party Friday night included a DJ, photo booth, candy bar, food from neighboring eateries, complimentary manis, and paraffin treatments. The vibrancy of the food, polish, and treats all popped against the salon’s stylish black and white palette.
NAILS enjoyed raising a glass with Glo! You can read even more about this swank nail bar, as they are June’s Salon Profile.
