Doug Schoon on the Ingredient TPHP

It feels like the media is forever getting bored and finding things to “report” about that are hiding dangers from us. Never mind that the media itself tends to pick and choose “truth,” as well as what they deem worthy of reporting. In this day and age, simple research shows a startling amount of information that the media either chooses to withhold or twists to suit their needs in a bastardized version of truth. That’s a whole other topic that we will politely skirt around in order to focus on the continued witch hunt on the nail industry.

The latest “bad guy” is the ingredient TPHP. According to a new study conducted by Duke University, the chemical is toxic and can be found in nail polish. Being “just a nail tech,” it seemed best to get some science-based facts to share with you so that you so that you may share it with your clients that entrust their nails to you. Industry scientist Doug Schoon discussed his thoughts on the matter which you can read here. I hope the information from Schoon can sooth the fears the media is determined to instill in them. Hope this helps!
