On Tuesday, Rodarte showed their Autumn/Winter 2019 collection at the Huntington Library. While technically a fall/winter show, the garden party theme evoked feelings of spring with ruffles, oversized bows, and flower headpieces.
Making the look complete were shades from Morgan Taylor, including Adorned In Diamonds, Get Lit, Rare As Rubies, and A Kiss From Marilyn. The nail looks were inspired by the 1970s with a mix of metallic and shimmers. Nine nail techs painted the nails of 45 models, including 14 models who wore clear shoes, and therefore needed a pedicure.
The feminine, soft look of the nails translated into "anti nail art" with pearls trailing off the nail and onto the finger. The Rodarte designers are known for being extremely attentive to detail, so the variety of nail looks in the show took several iterations before coming to light. The overall look was so magical that the show attracted a number of A-list celebrities including Brie Larsen, Marisa Tomei, Diane Keaton, and more.
