Boundaries blur between night and day creating a “midnight at noon” mood with the Fall 2017 Nightspell collection from CND. Rich, shimmering tones simulate the mesmerizing transformation of colors as dusk sets, while deep, sultry hues reflect the mysterious, dreamy glow of the nocturnal sky.

1. Prep the natural nail. Apply a thin layer of CND Shellac Base Coat. Cure for 10 seconds in the CND LED Lamp. Apply two thin layers of CND Shellac Viridian Veil. Cure each layer for one minute.

2. Apply a thin layer of CND Shellac Eternal Midnight in a chevron, leaving a V-shaped moon of Viridian Veil exposed. Cure for one minute.

3. Dispense a small amount of CND Shellac Mercurial into a mixing tray. Use tweezers and a piece of cosmetic sponge to apply Mercurial where Viridian Veil and Eternal Midnight meet. Cure for one minute. Apply a thin layer of CND Shellac Top Coat. Cure for one minute. Wipe with 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove top film.

4. Apply CND Vinylux Black Pool to the pattern in the stamping plate. Use the stamping scraper to remove excess color, roll stamper over pattern, and apply to the nail. Use a detail brush to apply CND Shellac Black Pool over the pattern to create a raised effect. Do not cure. Use a spatula to sprinkle Retention+ Sculpting Powder Clear over the pattern. Allow the powder to absorb into the uncured CND Shellac Black Pool and repeat until there is no longer any shine. Cure for one minute. Wipe with 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove residue.
