The Midnight Swim Mosaic Foil design detailed below requires nail art foils in pink, plum, cerulean, and tangerine glitter in addition to CND Shellac in Midnight Swim. To see Venugopal’s latest creations, follow her Facebook page, “Raji’s Style Venue.”

1. Perform a manicure, shaping and smoothing the free edge of the nail, eliminating all surface contaminants, and purifying the nail plate.

2. Apply a very thin layer of CND Shellac Base Coat and cure with CND’s UV lamp for 10 seconds. Apply two thin coats of CND Shellac in Midnight Swim and cure for two minutes between each coat. Don’t remove the tacky layer.

3. Prepare each of the nail art foils for application by cutting a couple inches worth off the roll. Wipe off any brown packing on foils with a lint-free pad and 99% IPA for better adhesion. Start with cerulean foil, firmly pressing it down onto a random spot directly on the nail color. Repeat this with the pink, plum, and tangerine foils in a random pattern. Overlap them creating the mosaic look.

4. Apply two coats of CND Shellac Top Coat, curing each layer for two minutes. This will allow the nail art to be completely encased, providing long-lasting wear. Wipe away the tacky inhibition layer with a lint-free pad so aked in 99% IPA. Soften hands and hydrate cuticles with CND SolarOil and the hand cream of your choice.
