Nail Art Studio: Snowman Misses His Family

Lisa Bennett demonstrates how to do Snowman Misses His Family.

Lisa Bennett demonstrates how to do Snowman Misses His Family.

1. Paint the nail with either white gel-polish or regular polish. Lightly buff the shine from the gel-polish or paint a coat of matte over the regular polish.

2. Using dark blue and white paints, create the sky and then loosely map out the shape of the house and window, adding water to create a watercolor effect.
3. Using a wash of thin color, add in the shade of where the snowman will be, and place shadow where you imagine bushes and trees might be. Use thin dark blue or black paint to put in the landscape and house shape. Let it dry.

3. Fill in the window with pale yellow and add the carrot with orange paint. Create the snowman with three white circles graduating in size. Complete the details with a fine line brush and black paint. Finish with a clear top coat.
