NTNA is back for the final part of the final challenge sponsored by CND. Our Top 3 were allowed to let their imaginations run wild in order to create five sets of life-changing nails. We’ve posted the nails as well as links to a video and Nail Art Gallery tutorial on our Final Challenge page.

NAILS Magazine and CND are proud to announce that this year’s Top 3 contestants have been named NextGen Artists by top sponsor, CND, for the fourth annual Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) Experience during America’s Beauty Show (ABS) 2016 in Chicago.

What were your New Year’s Resolutions? Maybe they were health-related, or maybe it was to attend a trade show, or maybe it was to make a difference. One of the main reasons NAILS began its Next Top Nail Artist competition was because we wanted to elevate the many talented nail professionals in our industry and give them a platform where they could be seen, heard, and honored for their skill.

Challenge 11 sponsored by CND came in two parts … or so our contestants thought. The first part was to create a set of nails inspired by the godmother of the Vietnamese nail industry, Tippi Hedren. The second was to create four sets of nails to be presented at ABS Chicago.

Challenge 11 sponsored by CND asked our Top 3 to construct a set of nails that would honor Tippi Hedren. Contestants were allowed to use any mediums they wished to pay homage to this nail icon.

It’s been a couple of weeks, but NTNA resumes with the first part of the final challenge sponsored by CND. Since this is the finale, we allowed our three remaining contestants to use any mediums they wished to make a set of nails inspired by Tippi Hedren. We’ve posted the nails as well as links to a video and Pinterest board detailing their research on our Final Challenge page.

We are happy to announce our Top 3, the finalists who will be going to Chicago to compete for the title of NAILS Next Top Nail Artist.
It’s been a grueling 10 weeks. We’ve seen nail art that moves, cities come to life, high-fashion pink-and-whites, even full-on fantasy nails. We’ve had to say goodbye to a beloved competitor each week, and each week it got that much more difficult to let someone go. In the end there were two nail techs left standing: Celina Ryden and Sarah Elmaz. Two second-time NTNA competitors, Victoria Zegarelli and Winnie Huang (both originally competed in season one), had to duke it out for the coveted third and final spot in the top.

Congratulations to Celina Ryden for winning this week’s Easily Enchanted challenge. This is a record sixth win for Celina!

Challenge 10 sponsored by EZFlow asked our Top 3 to create fantasy nail art using colored acrylic somewhere in the design.
