In alphabetical order, the top 2 are:
Hemi: Great job giving technical information pertaining to the e-file. The drip of your designs and hidden elements work together well and are very Dali. It is recommended that you lighten up on the clear coating for some of your designs so they are more distinct. Great work!
Valerie: You gave the judges surrealist nails that were finely sculpted. Your tutorial is full of teaching moments, like the mixing and color theory. The judges are excited to see even more of your work.
The following tech can breathe again. She is in the middle of this week’s pack and is safe. Congratulations to:
Halley: Your melted nails had a cool effect that the judges loved. The music choice in your video this week was better and less distracting. The video itself, however, is too long. It’s recommended that you practice a one take intro or compartmentalizing your technique. Beautiful work this week!
Unfortunately, there always has to be a bottom group. The bottom 2, in alphabetical order, are:
Ashton: The judges agree that this design was bold, graphic, and clean with excellent color choices. The drawers were a unanimous favorite. The overall look though was a bit tribal and not so Surreal. Your videos, while well done, leave the judges wanting to see more of your personality and hear you teach more.
Dana: When it comes to teaching on-camera, you are a natural. Each week your videos show your energy, inspiration, and are full of helpful tips. Your artwork this week was a bit of a risk, with unifying elements repeated across the nails, rather than five unique ones. At this stage in the competition, any chance to show more variation should be taken.
