Congratulations to Valerie Ducharme on her fourth win of the season! Her garden design was ethereal and absolutely exquisite.
Guest judge Allie Baker said, “Beautiful and delicate. I love how you describe the colors in the video and show so many details with great descriptions. I also loved how you showed and used the underside of the cured acrylic and talked about the shine of the colors when used that way.”
Head judge Jan Arnold said, “You are breathtaking from start to finish!”
NAILS art director Yuiko Sugino said, “Crazy amount of detailing throughout, but the design could use a bit more variety. Hollowed out tips adds an interesting breathable dimension. Good detailing on petals and leaves.”
Head judge Beth Livesay said, “This is a really intricate, ethereal nail design. The length in the finished photo looks short, but your amazing video details all the impressive work that is found in this set. The mosaics and etched out particles work together to make a lovely set that blends 3-D acrylic work and true nail art. Bravo!”

Valerie will be receiving a prize pack from EzFlow valued at approximately $500!
The nail tech who is packing up her paintbrushes this week is… Ashton Harlan. Ashton has been a strong competitor since winning the first challenge. Her clean, beautiful work has earned her accolades weekk after week.
So it’s a good thing this won’t be the last we hear from Ashton. She will move on to CND’s Last Chance Design Lab where she’ll have one last chance to stay in the competition. Check back Friday to see who will move on in our Last Chance battle — Ashton or Liza.
Tune in Monday to see the results of the Wildflowers challenge — the final weekly challenge of season 5 — and vote for your favorites! Good luck to the Top 3!
