CND produced two highly publicized looks at NYFW Spring/Summer 2018. This included silver dusted fingers at Jeremy Scott and vibrant 3-D nail art for Libertine. For this challenge, we want to see a look on the fingers that complements the design on the actual nails. Contestants were asked to create a wearable, 2-D, version inspired by one of the Libertine looks. Like NYFW, they had to use nail tips and apply them to their model. The final details on the fingers could be anything from jewelry to temporary tattoos (flat or 3-D), so long as the element on the fingers complements and doesn’t detract from the nail art.
The Top 12 had to film a 3-5 minute video diary detailing their inspiration and process. Their written descriptions had to explain why they chose the Libertine look they did and how they created the design on the hands.
The winner of this week’s challenge will receive a CND computer bag, roller duffle bag, blanket, travel neck pillow, CND pillow autographed by Jan Arnold, Chic Shock Spring collection in Shellac and Vinylux, Vinylux top coats, #6 liquid and powder brush, Retention Liquid, Brite White Powder, and Intense Pink Powder (estimated value: $500)!
