Feeling Festive: Who Won and Who’s Packing Up Their Brushes

Congratulations to Ashton Harlan! Her Mardi Gras set gave the judges all the feels.

Season 5 champion Valerie Ducharme said, “Wow! Bravo! The balance of your creations is just perfect. We can see the theme that you chose in your creations. And with no paint, you made beautiful detail everywhere!”

Head judge Jan Arnold said, “Sophisticated, clean, bright, and festive. Exemplary skills in keeping video square to camera. You’re a smart artist, making a cohesive design and overall color palette. At your level of skill, we would’ve liked to see you make the adornments.”

Guest judge Denise Wright said, “You managed to create delicate effects from the mediums used. Good, neat painting skills using the acrylics as color washes, which shows you don’t always need paints. The finished result was elegant in structure and decoration.”

Ashton will receive a prize pack from NSI valued at over $500 and a feature in an NSI ad!

The nail tech who will be packing her paintbrushes this week is… Bojana Radojicic. Bojana is an NTNA winner and an all-around amazing competitor with handpainting skills that have wowed the judges.

This won’t necessarily be the last you hear from Bojana. She will move on to CND’s Last Chance Design Lab where she’ll have one last chance to stay in the competition. Check back Friday to see who will move on in our Last Chance battle — Bojana or Jenna.

Tune in Monday to see the results of the En Vogue challenge and vote for your favorites! Good luck to our Top 6 competitors!
