World of Wonders: Who Won and Who’s Packing Up Their Brushes

Congratulations to Nixxi Rose! Her Northern Lights-inspired set lit up the judges’ faces.

Guest judge Allie Baker said, “Wow! That face is amazing! Your work is so clean, I loved it! Great use of color and the glow pigments as well. The video was very well done, but I wish you would have explained more technique and steps throughout.”

Head judge Jan Arnold said, “Dimension, color, storytelling, color way, creativity, magic and advanced technique — over-the-top genius and brilliant!”

Head judge Beth Livesay said, “Great color choices here for both the actual design and the glowing one as well. The glow-in-the-dark elements make this more realistic, whereas the Valkyrie makes this more mythical, so there’s a nice balance between the two. Thank you for sharing about yourself and your mom, there are many stories behind this set (both folkloric and actual) and your work blends them both.”

Nixxi will receive a prize pack from EzFlow valued at $500.

The nail tech who will be packing up her paintbrushes this week is … Ashley Hoffman. Ashley has given us week after week of fun, fresh nail art looks. The judges will miss her and applaud how far she has come in this competition.

This won’t necessarily be the last you hear from Ashley. She will move on to CND’s Last Chance Design Lab where she’ll have one last chance to stay in the competition. Check back Friday to see who will move on in our Last Chance battle — Ashley or Jenna.
