Week 2: En Vogue

Star Crossed

The stars and planets have always inspired a sense of wonder. Many cultures look skyward and see the face of the divine there. There’s a cosmic dance on the grand scale, and one on the intimate scale, going on for each of us. Astrology is the study of patterns and relationships — of planets in motion, our birth chart, synergy with others, the make-up of elements — and using that knowledge as a tool to find meaning. There are 12 zodiac signs and 12 houses, each one ruled by a different sign. Born between July 23 and August 22 is the fifth sign of the zodiac, Leo known as the King and Queen of the Zodiac due to their planetary symbol, the Lion. With the sun as their planetary ruler, they possess great charisma and sunny and shiny personalities. This royal set is inspired by Leo, my zodiac sign, and my compatible sign is Sagittarius. Adventurous, optimistic, and lucky, Sagittarius aims high and shoots for the stars! Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of growth and opportunity, the sign of the Archer is an eternal student, looking for enlightenment through new ideas, people, and places. Now, when Mercury is in retrograde, I hope my Jupiter will bring me luck. Don’t forget to vote for me, and help me to reach for the stars.

Week 1: CND

Secret Garden

I have been doing some research and found out that Macabre Dance was very popular back then.
Macabre is ever-present and universal power of death. It is shown as a dancing skeleton, leading people of every age and state of life by dancing to the grave. My work represents Macabre art. The skeleton is leading a girl straight to death, and an hourglass shows that her time is up. It’s a symbol of transience of life.
