In the Mood: Who Won and Who is Packing Up Their Brushes

Season 6 champion Ashton Harlan says, “This design has such a romantic and elegant feel! Mandalas may be considered too literal for this challenge, but the nails are still very avant garde. The straw marbeling was a fun technique, and I’m glad she once again incorporated her engerieering skills! I would’ve liked to see her use a different background from the previous styled photo challenge, but she definitely knows how to take an excellent picture. Her video and facebook live were both very informative.”

My guesses for this very avant-garde set: Strength; like everything is coming together; complete; growth. Whatever her theme is, it definitely evokes a mood and emotions. She has captured the essence of this challenge and a style that’s all her own. Her Facebook Live was SO professionally done and informative — she could teach a whole class on photography and lighting. My only gripe is that the FB Live was turned in late, so it didn’t get factored into my scoring.”
