Congratulations to Stella on her sixth NTNA win of the season! The judges thought this design was pure magic!
Guest judge Elaine Watson of KUPA says, “I am deeply sorry (for us both) that the government held your package preventing you from having all of our products. But when given lemons, make lemonade. Do not let your video instruction fall short because you don’t have color names to say. Make them up. This could have been a comical moment for you. You still need to say what bit you are using, what shape, and what speed. Regardless, you made Margaritas with your lemons! With color and depth, you gave us some technical carving and a magnificent, magical unicorn. I do wish his horn had the same magical colors as the thumbnail horn. Be careful, when you have such a main focal piece that the rest of the nails don’t appear as an afterthought (stars and flowers). Continue that depth of detail to all five nails.”
Head judge Beth Livesay says, “I love those unicorn wings! There’s beautiful precision in this set. My only thing is you didn’t share bit or product info (know it’s not KUPA, but it would be helpful). I also love the ombre pastel nail and the stars. The carving here is dreamy!”
Head judge Jan Arnold says, “We LOVE this clean simplicity and refinement, but figured this unicorn might fly off the screen into our hands, knowing you. Brilliant carving, sculpting, educating, and planning…GENIUS!”
Season six champion Ashton Harlan says, “These nails are so dreamy! The texture on the base of the nails adds the perfect touch of whimsy. I love everything about the unicorn. The carved details really brought it to life, as did the flapping wings. Stella created magic once again!”
Stella will receive the complete KUPA triptych color collection! (approximate value: $500).
The nail artist who will be packing her paintbrushes this week is…Kelsey. For two seasons, Kelsey has been a fan favorite. There is no doubt she is one of the most talented nail artists we’ve seen in this contest, and her videos and branding are pretty much perfect. It kills us to lose such a talented competitor, which is why…
Kelsey will be moving on to the CND Last Chance Design Lab, where she’ll have one last chance to stay in the competition. Check back next Friday to see who will move on in our Last Chance battle — Kelsey or Giselle!
Tune in Monday to see the entries for the Wildflowers challenge — the last regular play challenge of the season (!) and vote for your favorites! Good luck to our remaining Top 3 competitors!
