For the fourth Last Chance challenge of the season, Ewa Borkowska is in the unique position of competing against herself, and challenging herself to do her best work to earn the right to stay in the competition.
CND’s Jan Arnold will provide feedback on this look Ewa created.
All Last Chance challenges are done on a single nail tip. Contestants are also asked to describe their looks. There are no other elements to this battle.
CND Last Chance #4: The Change Up
Ewa was tasked with choosing one of the past themes from the Beauty Changes Lives Experience (BCLE), a fundraising gala for the professional beauty industry. She could select from these different themes: Limitless, Art of Prediction, Shout Your Beauty, and Trilogy of Beauty (streetwear, underground, avant garde) and create a wearable nail art tip that illustrates this theme. Artwork should be hand-painted only (embellishments are allowed, but no 3-D artwork).

In Challenge 4, the task to be performed was to select one of the topics from the previous BCLE. I chose the theme “Shout Out Your Beauty.”
I painted the background with a light blue color. Later, I made the outline of the head with nude varnish and my hair with pink varnish. After curing, I added lips and eyes. When all the elements were hardened, I painted a black outline.
My work was supposed to refer to old comic books, so the woman I painted has a text box with the words “I am beautiful” above her. Comic book art is one of my favorite techniques, I hope you like it, too.
