How can you help clients with deformities of the feet to feel comfortable about receiving procedures?
I let clients know in a friendly, joking manner that I think I have ugly feet and most people do, but that having pedicures can make you feel more comfortable exposing your toes and your feet can look better. Sometimes it requires more than one pedicure and I suggest they book two or three pedicures about four to five weeks apart. For those who have a missing or partially missing toenail, I offer acrylic toenails. I wear acrylic on my two big toes so clients can also see how real they look. - Darlene Feric
First, make the client feel comfortable by putting her in a private area, or reserving her appointment on a slow day so that she is in the pedicure area by herself. Just knowing exactly what to expect at each step of the pedicure procedure will help a first-time pedicure client to relax. At the end, polish to perfection. - Maise Dunbar
