After dabbling in competitions for years, nail tech Allison Baker started this year out with gusto by keeping her competition schedule full and her product applications perfect. Her hard work paid off — landing her in the #1 spot on this year’s Top 25 list above a group of very talented and competitive nail techs.
Competition at the 6th Global Nail Cup was fierce. Nail techs, nail artists, and students from all over the world made their way to Korea on February 18 and 19, 2012 for the event.

But what is it like to be a competitor? NAILS takes a quick look at the competition schedule of one veteran and one novice competitor at ISSE Long Beach this past January.
Lynn Lammers is once again NAILS’ top competitor this year. With a whopping 117 points, Lammers has reclaimed her #1 status from last year. Coming in second was Odyssey’s Trang Nguyen, and in third was England’s Kristy Meakin.
