Does summer seem to be slipping away through your fingers? I feel like a chicken running around with its head cut off a lot of the time lately and have been trying to just stay afloat in the busy times. The salon is hopping with summer nails and toes, with classes going well, and the family busy too. Are you keeping a decent balance of everything? That is one of my challenges and I don’t think there is a magic answer, just the persistence to keep trying.

In all the crazy business of summer, a group of nail professionals has really impressed me with their dedication to furthering education and advancing salon careers. This past weekend, there were fourteen professionals that traveled to Des Moines, Iowa for a three-day Grand Master weekend. It is hard to give up three days to take classes, then add travel time, and expense to the equation and it equals admirable dedication. Here is my shout out and congrats to the six from Iowa, two from Minnesota, two from Maryland, two from Illinois, one from Texas, and one from the Bahamas!! Congrats, ladies!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia.
