Monday was day two for me at ISSE and it started out with exploring the booths and taking in some demos. Some booths I stopped by were: Nail Labo, Akzentz, ONS, the Blogger Café, Starlight, Jessica, Gelish, the Beauty Bus, the Beauty Bar, Nail Tek, Seche, and CND.
The Beauty Bus offers services to the chronically or terminally ill and their caregivers. If you would like some more info or to see if you can volunteer, click here.

Another booth you might have found interesting was Jessica. Kris Ruffin invited me into the booth for a walk through of their launch for the weekend.
Jessica launched Phenom which is their newest long-lasting polish creation. While a lot of the manufacturers have gotten away from using a base coat, Jessica designed their new long-lasting polish to be partnered with any of their current treatment basecoats.
This is a great idea as so many people would like to wear nail polish. The treatments can smooth the natural nail for a perfect nail surface to pull off polish on its own. The imagery caught my eye as a stunning piece and I appreciated the time Kris took to explain the product!
Another stop was the ONS booth to watch a demo of the hydro gel. Joseph Pham gave some insight as a coworker did the demo. It was pretty fascinating to watch and I’m curious as to how I can recreate the effects with the products I use. I’m looking forward to playing with it.
I ran into Helena and Ian from Scratch Magazine as well as the crew from NAILS, shopped a little bit, and just enjoyed the atmosphere of the show. To finish out there was a memorial for Vicki Peters at the competition awards. Afterward, it was time to head out and set up for the class I was teaching. That’s a whole other blog though lol.

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
It has been quite a while since I made a video for the e-file chronicles so an update to that seemed in order. The latest installment is removing gel-polish from an enhancement.
