How many of you are gearing up for the Premiere show in Orlando this weekend? I hope you made sure to get tickets to the Nail Tech BBQ! What else will you be checking out? Having been last year there are a few things that I would suggest you do:
A wise woman suggested that I bring address labels to the show with me and I could not believe what a useful and handy trick that was :o)
Business cards, LOTS of business cards.
Stop by the NAILS Magazine booth and say hi, not only do they usually have a subscription special going on, but you will just enjoy what great people they are.
Amerikan Body Art booth and/or class. I popped into this last year and have just loved what an easy fun add-on that glitter and mica tattoos have been. It goes hand in hand with our business. Those of you interested in trying your hand at henna will find that there as well.
Make a list of the booths you need to visit and any questions you may have for them, nothing is more frustrating than to have waited for your turn to talk to an educator and be so distracted by the show you don’t remember half your questions! If applicable take pictures of your issues to show them.
Spare camera batteries, it’s heartbreaking to not only run your battery down, but also to have to pay for new ones at “convenience” pricing.
How many of you are going to the CND Shellac and Fashion Fusion Event? This is a groundbreaking opportunity to be in on making nail history and showing the “hair” shows that we are a huge presence in the industry.

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
It has been quite a while since I made a video for the e-file chronicles so an update to that seemed in order. The latest installment is removing gel-polish from an enhancement.
