I was just recently discussing with my BFF that I still didn’t have an address to send the prize out for the fan nickname contest. So here I go this morning looking back through the blogs only to discover I forgot to submit the blog I wrote! No wonder no one e-mailed me their info. LOL. Sorry about that? Sometimes I think about something so much it seems like I did it. Here is the blog:

The nickname was chosen and the winner is FingerNailFixer Freaks!

This was one of the names tossed about in the discussion in Chicago at the show so I’ve done a random drawing from all those that voted and the prize pack winner is Melanie Beland! Congrats Melanie; be sure to get in touch with me so I can get it shipped out to you.

The definition of freak (fr k) is noun 1. A thing or occurrence that is markedly unusual or irregular

Sadly in the times we live it is unusual for a salon to value its customer and treat them with respect and great service. It is also unusual to find exceptionally high standards of education, cleanliness, knowledge of law, and knowledge of basic nail anatomy. When you look at it this way, I feel that Freak is an accurate term for us all and something we can be proud of!

So let everyone know: you are a FingerNailFixer Freak!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
