Cut It Out has been hailed from coast-to-coast as an innovative solution to a chronic and difficult problem: raising awareness on the epidemic of domestic abuse and helping victims receive the resources they need. Now entering its eighth year along with long-time initiative partner, Willow House Magazine, and the Professional Beauty Association | National Cosmetology Association (PBA | NCA), October — Domestic Violence Awareness Month — is a particularly crucial time to support this cause.
The Cut It Out 2010 Campaign is simple – beauty professionals sign the pledge at www.cutitout.org, receive the Cut It Out materials, and display them at front desks, individual stations, and in all restrooms of their salon. Simply displaying the materials will truly help someone who may be suffering in silence.
Cut It Out 2010 challenges the professional beauty industry to take a stand against domestic violence, and asks that 2,010 salons and/or individual beauty professionals make a pledge to use the power of beauty to end domestic abuse in America by displaying awareness materials in their salons. To sign the pledge and receive materials to display in your salon, please visit www.cutitout.org.
To donate to The Salons Against Domestic Abuse Fund (a 501c3 nonprofit organization), call (866) 871-0656 or send a check to:
