I've been doing nails since 1987 and the best piece of advice I could ever give anyone is to treat your clients well but be firm. I would say over 60% of my clientele has been with me between 17 to 24 years and at least another 30% have been with me no less than five years.

I always let my clients know exactly what I put into my education as well as the products that I buy to use on them. I try to teach them all I know. I let them know the value of my service and at the same time let them know that I value them as a person and a client. I tell them there's always somebody better than me, faster than me, more convenient than me, or with better prices than me, but they'll never have anyone treat them the way I do and you can't buy that.
I have some of the most loyal clients I've ever seen in the industry and I'm grateful for that and I'm proud of the business I've built. Let them see your passion for what you do and you will always be successful and they will be your biggest supporters.
