Some of you may have already discovered the photo galleries on NailsMag.com’s new Style channel. There’s a lot of nail art, which I know everyone loves, but there are also several cool salon design galleries, like “Great Looking Pedicure Areas to Inspire Your Inner Designer” and “My Favorite Piece of Salon Decor.” I really love these galleries because every time I start on a design project, I always like to look at how other people designed similar spaces so I can figure out what works and what doesn’t. For example, I spent time perusing Domino magazine’s “Tricks for Decorating Small Spaces” gallery when I moved into a studio apartment earlier this year.

The NAILS galleries are especially cool because obviously they focus expressly on salon design. So, I have a favor to ask of you: for any of you out there who have decorated your salon for the holidays (with a Christmas tree, stockings, seasonal retail displays, etc.), would you snap a quick picture of the decorations and e-mail the picture to me at Sree.Roy@bobit.com? I want to make a “Holiday Salon Decor” gallery to inspire everyone. In addition to the picture, all I need from you is your name, the salon name, city and state, and a one-sentence description of the holiday decorations.
