Do We Need An Instagram Plan?

Would you follow a social media program if it meant it could up your online presence?

Have you noticed some strange posts on Instagram that all seemed to hashtag #TheInstagramPlan and #INSTA180? It took me a bit of asking around to figure out that it was a teaser program for a social media training course.

The teaser included a week of daily Instassignments that arrived via email on July 20, 2016 at 8 a.m. PST, each with instructions that promised the result will be attracting the right followers, knowing the right thing to say, and making your business profitable in the process.

The developer @JasmineStar encouraged those signed up to follow her on Instagram to see how to use the exact tips and tricks shared. Jasmine sent out emails weekly requesting you post the following to increase your Instagram presence.

The Instagram Plan Challenge Schedule:

  • Day 1: July 20th - Introduction

  • Day 2: July 21st - Workspace

  • Day 3: July 22nd - Favorite Food or Drink

  • Day 4: July 23rd - Relaxation

  • Day 5: July 24th - Photo of Your Product or Service

  • Day 6: July 25th - Get Out From Behind Your Computer

  • Day 7: July 26th - Behind the Scenes

From Jasmin:

“I’d love to see your progress, so be sure to use the #TheInstagramPlan and #INSTA180 hashtags. The best part is that you’ll be connected with thousands of creative entrepreneurs who are growing alongside you!”

I’m very curious what your thoughts on the program were if you followed it and how many of you will be paying to take the full social media training? I’ve thought about altering it to make it more useful to attracting our specific audience in addition to being more interactive. Would that interest you?

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
