If you would be so kind as to indulge me, I would like to say a very honored and heartfelt thank you to the Cosmetologists and Barbers of Iowa (CBI) as well as the Iowa Cosmetology Educators (ICE) for presenting me with 2012 Iowa Educator of the Year this week. It is very humbling to be selected from a group of passionate industry professionals who put their hearts into the industry. CBI is an Iowa organization that seeks to educate and encourage industry professionals. ICE is a branch of CBI that consists of industry educators and requires a try-out to join. I remember blogging about hoping for the best at the try-outs! Thank you again to CBI and ICE for the award and thank you to all of you in the industry who make it such a rewarding joy to do what I do ((cyber hug))!
Since it is Valentine’s Day I would also appreciate a moment to thank the man who makes this possible. If he did not support me, I would not be able to pursue my dream of helping others build their own dream. This man believes in me, allows me to leave home knowing things will be OK. The kids are more than loved, and he is strong enough to be married to a crazy, independent, traveling nail tech! I would not be an educator, a blogger, a traveler, or any of the things that make me feel complete as a business professional if it were not for his support. There truly is not enough thanks for me to give but here is my attempt to try and to say I love you and I appreciate you to the most amazing (and sexy) husband ever!
